中秋节
Also known as Mid-Autumn Festivalis when we have family reunions, family dinner, play with fire, lanterns and give mooncakes (rather, than eating)Well, this is just what i told my guests when they asked.
Close enough.
I'm not a fan of mooncake,
but something happened this year that made me got so addicted to it..
WORK -.-
Had to sell mooncakes,
started eating and eating AND eating
Until..
I started buying them to eat..
Truthfully, they all tasted good
I don't know if it's just me
Even my aunt said to me:
'To you, everything taste good'
There were many events going on within those short 3days in Penang
Steamboat, opera, house warming, BBQ and more steamboat
Did not play lanterns this year though,
because my sisters were not around =(
Below are pictures of lanterns made totally out of recycled items
They're all nice, they were for the lantern competition
People walking in the street with lanterns (big and small)
The Teo Chew opera which video have problem posting -.-
Steamboat
Those rice in red bowls are for my ancestors to eat first
Then us,
House warming with bbq and lanterns for the kids
Right after Mid-Autumn Fest
My late grandpa's 100th day in heaven
and of course, my birthday
First the prayers:
They were laughin because he was supposed to put his hands up all the way
which he did...after he realised, he put them back up
Then, the cake:
And the surprise dinner/supper from my bro
Not forgetting my favourite candies from my sisters
and yummy durian cake
That ends my latest trip.
These few pix were taken on the previous trip but i did not have time to post it up
First, lunch with my lovely momma at Chilis:
Honestly, it was tooooo much for two.
Later that day,
Bubba Gum, dinner on me
My apologies for the simplicity,
If i were to be detailed on this blog,
it will take me until the next morning
which.....
it already is.
The end.
